Aircraft Refurbishment
 Once
a plane has been in service for several years and it is ready for
refurbishment, QCP can help remove the ravages of time. We have developed
our processes to work with parts that have been in service. With the
proper process we can minimize the effects of use and corrosion. If a
part is beyond salvage we can also provide replacement parts through a
specialized prototype part production program. QCP is your one-stop shop
for all your finishing and part requirements when refurbishing an
aircraft.
Plating On Plastics
 A
new frontier for the aviation market is incorporating materials and
technologies currently being utilized in commercial and/or consumer
products. Plastic is widely accepted by consumers and chrome plating on
plastics has been done for many years in the automotive markets. Now
plastics suitable for aircraft interiors can be plated with high quality
decorative finishes. Applications can range from cup holders to sinks.
Plastic allows for the ease and flexibility of design and can result in a
40% reduction in weight when replacing aluminum. Quaker City Plating uses
technology to improve our customer’s product.

inspection and documentation, we ensure that your parts will be processed
to exceed your expectations. Once procedures are created, your parts will
be processed and checked repeatedly to ensure tolerances are kept and the
final appearance is to your specifications.
 
Your Part appearance is important, but so is the durability.
In addition to process control, QCP has an extensive array of equipment
to measure and test our finishes to ensure compliance to decorative ASTM specifications.
Our in house QA Lab is equipped to perform testing for, Salt Spray, CASS,
Thermal Cycle, Thickness (through Kocur and
Micro Section), STEP, Adhesion (instron),
Micro-Section, and numerous others for the verification of the
performance of the finishes we provide.
